The BigDC.

So, David Cook came to Singapore and since its the closest to home, The Bestest Friend and I had to go. It was AMAZING. We won Meet and Greet passes so we actually SPOKE to him! During the meet and greet, there was an interview session during which he told us he wasn't single. :P We were sitting right in front, As he was walking to the back after the interview, he stopped at where I was seated, smiled at me and said Hello! I died. :P After the meet and greet, there was an autograph session and also a picture taking session. The minute the dates for his concert was confirmed, I had decided to make a propeller heart(to fling it on stage when he was performing), but since we were meeting him, I just made a paper heart. The whole reason for making a paper heart was, he has a song called Paper Heart, so I thought it would be funny and cute to give him a paper heart. Lol. So, this is what happened during the autograph session.

D. Cook: HI! How are ya?
Me: I'm good! *hands him the paper heart* If doesn't already say it, I love you. *grins*
D.Cook: ITS A PAPER HEART! *laughs* Thank you so much!
Me: *grins*

After that, we took our picture. He put his arm around me and as he moved his arm away once the picture was taken, our hands knocked into each other and the marker he was holding flew out of his hand and we both caught it.

D.Cook: *looks at me* WHOA! Did you see that? What did we just do? How did we do that?
Me: I dunno! But that was cool!
D.Cook: That was more than cool! That was some matrix right there!

And we both laughed. :P

After the M&G, we headed to the concert area, so we could get a good spot. We waited there from 4.30pm to 7.00pm. The show started with Singapore's local band. Then there was the fashion show. Right after the fashion show, it was David Cook! I swear, the feeling of being mere inches away from him performing, is something I will never be able to describe. Listening to him sing all those songs I rock out to at home, live. On top of that, it was a acoustic show. Words cannot describe how amazing that whole experience was. I honestly was starstruck. After the whole thing, he came out again to say bye and also to try durian. He "loved" it. :P As he was standing there, he looked at me so I waved at him and he wiggled his eyebrows at me! I died, again. xD

California 37

Isabelle, Priya and myself decided we need to go for Train's concert. It was, after all, their first concert in Malaysia. So Priya got us the tickets, and off we went to KL Live yesterday. We were all hyped up and excited to see Train live, we kept looking at each other, grinning and saying "We're on the way to Train!"

The concert was supposed to start at 8.30 but me thinks Train missed their train, therefore they were 20 minutes late. :P They made up for it the minute they came on stage. 

Train came on stage to the chugging sound effect of a train. the crowd went wild. xD 

Throughout the whole concert, there was never a moment were I was not dancing. There was no break btw. it was song after song after song. Amazing, no? The band chugged through the 17 song-setlist without losing momentum: 50 Ways To Say Goodbye, This'll Be My Year, If Its Love, Meet Virginia, I Got You, Finally Meet My Mom, Calling All Angels , Mermaid, Save Me San Francisco, Bruises, Marry Me, Don't Stop Believin (Journey Cover), Hey Soul Sister, Drive By, California 37, Drops of Jupiter and Sing Together.

Patrick Monahan kept making jokes throughout the whole show. He did throw few autographed shirts to the crowd. He even gave an autographed guitar to one lucky girl in the first row. 

And so, my Train experience has ended. :P

Because of who you are.

This was supposed to be posted on 14th December 2011 but I don't know why, I didn't post it here.

Getting the call from Mala atteh, I don’t know how Joel, Melissa and I managed to get to the hospital. Seeing you like that, tears welled up in my eyes, but I held it in.

Looking at you, lying so peacefully, saying in our hearts “Let go Amachi. We love you” but secretly wishing you’d somehow come back. No amount of hand wiping could wipe the tears that fell.

Dropping my cutlery and running to the icu cause the doctor said its time. With tears flowing, we

said our prayers and goodbyes.

I remember it like it happened yesterday.

Dear Amachi,

I miss your laughter and smile. I miss randomly calling you. I miss your voice and how you’d talk to me till you fell asleep if you couldn’t sleep and I was there. I miss how much you cared for everyone. I miss how you fed me just to make sure I ate. I miss your cooking, how you’d let me help in the kitchen and even take time to teach me what you were doing, and the funny nicknames you would call me but mostly, I miss you. Your selflessness and kindness gave me hope and makes me want to be like you, exactly like you.

Its been a year, and I miss you more than ever.
